OUR VISION

To Love and Work in Unity

We are not perfect people, therefore we cannot ever be the perfect church. We love God and we know that Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith. We are authentic; we are real with one another. We work, learn, grow and have fun together -- living and sharing the Good News of Christ  with each other and the world.

OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Minister / Preaching

Robert Coyle

Rob Coyle was born and raised in Caldwell, a small town in southeast Ohio and received his bachelor’s degree in Bible with a minor in Textual Studies from Ohio Valley University.

After having moved to California to launch a Young Adult Ministry at North County Church of Christ, Rob met his wife, Alejandra, and they were married in 2003.  God called Rob and Alejandra to Chula Vista in 2015, and they moved with their three children, where Rob now serves as the preaching minister at the Chula Vista Church of Christ.

As a practical teaching minister, the desire of Rob’s heart is that every message and every lesson God uses him to bring will help to equip others with a deeper understanding of God's word and result in their lives being lived out in the light of God's revealed will.

Rob loves to serve God and he enjoys singing, playing piano, reading, writing and spending time with his family.

Youth & Family Minister

Nathan Myers is a native of the Sunshine State. Born and raised in Palm Bay on the east coast of Florida, he is now proud to call the Golden State home. Growing up he played baseball, played trumpet in middle and high school band, and participated in the Boy Scouts where he eventually achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

He met his wife, Stacey, right before moving back to Florida after graduation from college and they have been married since April 2010. Stacey works in the Aerospace industry. They are both animal lovers and share their home with a labradoodle named Judah and a mini pig named Luau.

At the age of 17, Nathan began attending a local church and was baptized into Christ a few months later in the Atlantic Ocean. It was immediately apparent to Nathan that God was calling him into ministry.

After seeing a deep need for the work of God in the lives of teenagers, he attended Harding University where he earned a BA in Youth & Family Ministry in 2008 and spent a semester studying abroad in Greece. In 2015, Nathan earned the Master of Divinity, with a special focus in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible, from Harding School of Theology in Memphis, Tennessee. He has had the pleasure of serving with churches in Florida, Texas, Tennessee and Hawaii and has worked with children, teenagers, college-aged students, and adults, but always finds that his heart and passion resides in teaching teens and their families the depths of God’s love and truth in his creation.

Nathan’s theological interests include the invaluable role of the Old Testament in the life of faith, a theology of creation, Christians and their relationship with the nonhuman world, and animal ethics.

Outside of church and ministry, he loves traveling all over the world with Stacey, pumping iron, making all sorts of yummy plant-based recipes, all things aviation, watching TV and movies, reading, watching EPL soccer and the NBA, and enjoying God’s majestic creation.
